Mission Statement

"To conserve, restore, and promote the sustainable use and enjoyment of our natural resources, including soil, air, woods, waters, and wildlife. "

Member Pledge

"To strive for the purity of water, the clarity of air, and the wise stewardship of the land and its resources; to know the beauty and understanding of nature, and the value of wildlife, woodlands, and open spaces; to the preservation of its heritage and to man's sharing in it."

The Sioux Falls Izaak Walton League chapter was chartered in 1925. It is the oldest and most respected conservation club in South Dakota. The clubhouse was built in 1955 and is located Northeast of Sioux Falls in a secluded, quiet country setting. Throughout the year, Sioux Falls Izaaks hosts a variety of functions from weddings and reunions to company picnics. The country setting allows for competitive trap shooting as well as outdoor events to be held on the grounds. The clubhouse allows for seating of up to 300 people and has become a common gathering place for the public to host events. The events held during the year allow Sioux Falls Izaaks to honor its mission statement by providing endowments towards the preservation of nature and the conservation of its land and resources for future generations.
